10-Minute Turkey Burgers

10 minute turkey burgers 1_small

I almost didn’t post this recipe because it’s so quick and easy, I’m not sure it qualifies as a real recipe. This is the dinner I make most often in the summer when I don’t have time to actually cook anything.

These are simple, but juicy and well-seasoned turkey burgers that taste delicious. I mince up three different kinds of bell peppers (which is the only prep this recipe requires) for added moisture and flavor. (You don’t have to mince the peppers, but I do it because my picky eaters wouldn’t touch this burger if they saw big chunks of vegetables in it.)

Throw in some cumin and seasoning and hand these puppies over to the hubby for grilling! Everybody’s gets a yummy, healthy and delicious meal and you did it in 10 minutes or less. Can I get an “Amen!”

(I use the McCormicks Steak or Chicken Seasoning in almost all my grilling recipes. It’s a perfect blend of garlic, spices and herbs, so you don’t have to measure out a zillion different things. If you don’t have it, add garlic salt, pepper and herbs to taste.)

Ingredients

2.5lbs ground turkey

2 tablespoons minced red pepper

2 tablespoons minced orange pepper

2 tablespoons minced yellow pepper

2 tablespoons minced onion pepper

1 tablespoon McCormick's Monterey Chicken or Steak Seasoning, plus extra for sprinkling over tops

1 tablespoon cumin

7 slices pepperjack cheese (I sub monterey jack for the kids)

Instructions

Preheat grill to medium heat. Gently mix ground turkey, minced peppers, seasoning and cumin with your hands. Form into generous patties. Sprinkle tops with more McCormick's seasoning.

Grill 5-7 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. During last two minutes top with slices of pepperjack cheese. Serve on toasted buns.
