I’m hosting Christmas this year, which I LOVE to do. I love to cook anyway, but it is so much easier to have Christmas here so we don’t have to lug our large brood (and their presents!) to Nebraska. Instead, Nebraska comes to us!
I thought I would share our holiday menu, just in case you’re looking for a little inspiration. It’s not super fancy, but it’s all delicious.
Appetizers:
Shrimp cocktail
Assorted nuts/cheeses/crackers/chutney
Tart Apple and Spinach Salad with Cashews
Smoked Turkey (Jeff is doing in the smoker outside)
Herbed Beef Tenderloin (this is an old recipe from my first Betty Crocker cookbook)
Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes (from my step-MIL)
Sausage Stuffing (from my MIL)
Green Beans with a twist of lemon
Brown Sugar Carrots
Lefse (a Norwegian family tradition)
Papa Del’s Cherry Pie
Pumpkin Pie
Salted Caramel Pie
Happy Holidays (and good eats!) from our family to yours!

YUM! And your family is so beautiful.
