Chocolate Raspberry Smoothies

Chocolate Raspberry Smoothies 1_small

If you’re looking for a super fast, healthy Valentine’s breakfast, this is a perfect choice. Bonus points for being really fast to make too! Obviously, chocolate syrup isn’t really breakfast material but you use it pretty sparingly, just to make the glass look pretty.

(Unless you’re my nine-year-old — then you squirt an entire bottle on top of your smoothie.)

This is just a simple throw-it-all-in-the-blender-and-go kind of recipe. But it’s really good — like dessert kind of good. I hope your Valentines love it as much as mine did!

I throw protein powder in mine because my kids need it. It doesn’t affect the taste either way, so no worries if you ‘don’t have it.

10-ounces frozen raspberries, thawed with juices
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
1 cup vanilla greek yogurt
1 small banana
Chocolate syrup

Blend all ingredients (make sure to include all the juices from the thawed raspberries) until smooth. Squirt a little chocolate syrup around the inside rim of two glasses; let drizzle down to the bottom. Pour in smoothies. Enjoy!

Makes 2 smoothies.
